Aurash Behroozi was all smiles when he came by the UWC on Friday to claim his grand prize for the “50 Years of Inclusion at Texas A&M” contest.

Behroozi, a junior biomedical sciences major, won a $250 Amazon.com gift card for his essay. Behroozi was inspired to write his entry after listening to a presentation given by Dr. Maura Cullen, one of several speakers who came to campus to talk about the idea of inclusion. Gabriella Pallares, a sophomore English major, and Ashley Simmons, a senior Mechanical Engineering major, were runners-up in the essay contest, which was co-sponsored by the UWC and the “50 Years of Inclusion at Texas A&M” Committee.
