The UWC’s Aggie Voices Contest is currently accepting submissions of writing and videos from undergraduates. The contest is intended to celebrate excellence in communication at Texas A&M and features two separate divisions: one for writing and another for video projects. Entries can be on any subject. The winners in each division will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon.com. The entry deadline is February 4th.
“We consult with students from all across campus, so we know how hard they work on their projects,” explains UWC Executive Director Valerie Balester. “This contest is a way of honoring that hard work and recognizing the talented and creative undergraduates we have at Texas A&M.”
Balester also notes that the decision to open the contest to any subject matter recognizes that good communication comes in many forms.
“Whether students are writing a lab report or creating a market analysis or shooting a video,” she says, “they still have to define their topic, decide what details to include, and consider how best to reach their audience.”
